Muluma is the brain child of a Professionally Registered Engineer, the company is intended to truly empower previously disadvantaged communities through different programs. The intellectual property has found it difficult to find its way to previously disadvantaged communities.

Muzi Masilela - Founder and Managing Director

Muzi is a seasoned professional engineer with over 13 years’ experience as a Process Optimisation Specialist in the Financial Services Sector. He is the founder of Muluma Advisory Services.

Muluma offers key services in the FinTech process optimisation sector centred around assisting clients re-imagine the future. He is passionate about helping clients prepare for the 4th Industrial Revolution / Internet of Things.

He has managed a team of 54 Engineers, which was one of the largest concentration of Industrial Engineers in Africa. He was in the Deloitte Strategy & Innovation business and has implemented strategic projects for a number of clients.

He was a Specialist Process Engineer at SARS in the Enterprise Business Enablement Department. In his role has successfully delivered projects for SARS using the SDLC methodology. Muzi has worked as the lead process designer for SARS key portfolios, namely PAYE (Pay As You Earn) and Personal Income Tax.

Muzi has applied LEAN principles as a basis for his proposed improvements for the respective organization he has delivered value for. He was the Vice President of SAIIE (South African Institute for Industrial Engineers). He has incredible leadership qualities and an effective communicator. His diligent, humble nature and attention to detail make him the perfect candidate to lead any team and deliver on the organizations strategic objectives.

She has mastered the technique of due diligence in the human capital space which includes the talent market, especially in the financial markets industry. Tumi is driven by helping individuals and organisations reach their aspirations and goals through candidate relationship management, metrics, industry best practices, research and analysis. The overall outcome of getting this right is the organization winning well with its human capital and reaching their set economic objectives.

Tumi has exposure to strategy tools such as Cascading Choices which she has applied to define the Nedbank Contact Centre (NCC) recruitment strategy. She is currently the Head : Human Capital and 50% owner in Muluma Advisory Services .

Itu is a finance graduate from the University of Pretoria where she also completed her MDP certificate. Itu also holds a Project management Certificate from the University of Virginia: Darden Business School.Itu has a vast experience accumulated from working in the FMCG space since 2009 having worked at Clover and a division of SAB. Her experience includes manufacturing, production planning, logistics, project management, supply chain, procurement, business development, contract manufacturing, marketing and advertising.
